Claire has trained with Trevor Sorbie, MBE. He is the founder of My New Hair a charity offering support and advice for medical hair loss. Inspired by Trevor’s passion for the good work that can be done by the industry in this area, Claire has created Head over Healing.
Head over healing offers clients a one to one service at the salon, in your home or in hospital. We support clients with styling for hair loss, wig fitting, cutting and styling all done to personally suit each individual. We also provide scalp analysis including specialised advice on managing medical hair loss ie: pre or post chemotherapy, alopecia as well as advising on psoriasis, eczema or scalp sensitivity & allergies.
We provide in depth consultations using knowledge, experience and a scalp analysis machine, the scope magnifies x200 so it can give a clear image of what is going on at the follicle level, we also email the client the scalp analysis report. Our aim is to provide a unique professional service to clients and advise them on the best product ranges to help them with their hair & scalp issues.
We also offer ‘stage cutting’, this service has already helped many people, especially if you have long hair, it can be very traumatic losing handfuls especially as sometimes it can shed quickly after treatment has started. You can chose to have 2 or 3 hair styles in just a short time to help ease this difficult process. Many people choose to have a head shave or donate their long hair to charity.
Who should get in touch?
Anyone with hair loss or scalp issues. We are wanting to help, reassure & support the local community through their hair loss journey. We also offer organic based products and colour services for clients that want to change their hair as it grows back. The client should wait 6 months after treatment and avoid harsh chemicals completely. For people concerned about natural ingredients such as essential oils, we can provide full a ingredients list of all products used.
